Did you notice we love color? Yellow is considered the strongest color psychologically because it makes people feel more energetic, cheerful and positive. We are here for all the positive vibes and this is why we continued the yellow accents throughout the home! Although we're based in Chicago now, we loved this home as our primary home for 6 years, and now we enjoy vacationing here to escape the chilly Chicago winters! A KITCHEN FIT FOR A CHEF
This newly remodeled, open-concept kitchen looks like it is out of a magazine! It features professional-grade stainless steel appliances including a 6-burner GAS STOVE and fridge/freezer with water and ice maker, a stunning oversized 8ft island with custom quartz countertops and seating for 4, one-of-a-kind peacock-inspired glass tile backsplash, a separate coffee station with drip coffee-maker and coffee grinder, two floor-to-ceiling pantries for all of your personal groceries, and every cooking utensil and appliance you could need during your time here. The home also features brand-new commercial size high-efficiency LG washer and dryer for you to use during your stay!

SPACE TO ENTERTAIN & UNWIND
The sunken living room contains spacious seating with a teal velvet sectional and vintage rocking lounge chairs, dramatic chandelier lights, and a large 75” Smart TV with YouTube TV subscription for watching your favorite shows. A second lounge area flanks the kitchen/dining room and features an antique bar for mixing up your favorite cocktails, plenty of board games for family game nights, and a comfortable seating area to overlook all the action in the kitchen and backyard! The bright yellow wall drenches the room with sunshine, and features a custom gallery wall of local photography and landscapes.

WORKING & RECHARGING
Separated from the action of the living spaces, tucked away on the north side of the house, there are 3 bedrooms and a dedicated office. The Primary Bedroom features a comfortable king-sized bed, an updated ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, two closets with plenty of hangers, original vintage 1960’s makeup vanity, and a sliding door for convenient access to the backyard paradise. Next to the primary suite is a dedicated office with a door for privacy during work hours. The private office overlooks desert fauna and features a sitting/standing desk, comfortable office chair, monitor, and futon couch. There are two additional guest rooms, each with a queen size bed, storage and closet space. One of the guest rooms also features a second dedicated office area with a standing desk, chair and two monitors that you can hook up to. Two adults can comfortably work remotely from this home!

BACKYARD PARADISE
The fully-fenced backyard is what dreams are made of! Listen to the sound of the native Peach-Faced Love Birds chirping away in the neighboring palm trees and watch humming birds zip through the air as you drink your morning coffee. Enjoy dining al fresco under the bistro lights, or grab a book and enjoy the lounge seating area that features large sectional sofa and hanging chairs. Fully fenced backyard is perfect for your small pups to run and explore! (See pet restrictions below.) Gather your group and take 'Gram-worthy selfies in front of the custom desert WALL MURAL done by a well-known local artist. Mix up your favorite poolside drinks at the outdoor bar area with 4 mid-century stools, and relax in the comfortable sun loungers overlooking the sparkling HEATED POOL (pool can be heated for an additional fee - see additional pool info below). Tucked around the corner is a custom gas firepit with lounge seating and authentic Mexican blankets for chilly desert nights. Brand-new gas Weber grill is available for your stay as well. This place really has it all! (This home proudly meets Scottsdale Revised Code § 31-68, AG105 "Short-term Rental Pool Barrier Requirements" which went into effect May 2023, requiring all Scottsdale vacation homes to have a safety fence installed around the swimming pool. )

Other things to note
PET FRIENDLY
Well-behaved, potty trained pups are welcome. Up to 2 small dogs, under 30lbs each, with a Pet Fee of $250. Additional fees may incur for longer duration stays, excessive pet hair/deep cleaning, pet damage to the property, or not cleaning up the yard after your pet. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds! Unapproved pets may result in immediate termination. Please contact the host if you have any questions regarding the pet policy. Sorry, no cats.

THE GOODS
Fresh linens and fluffy white towels are provided for each guest, and the home is stocked with a "starter pack" of essentials, including ground coffee, reusable coffee filters, tea, spices and oils, trash bags and cleaning supplies. Please plan accordingly to purchase/bring enough dry goods and groceries to last for the duration of your stay.

THE SWIMMING POOL
Most guests find the pool more comfortable when it is heated November through April. The swimming pool can be heated up to 89 degrees for an ADDITIONAL FEE of $100/day. Even in the desert, it gets chilly in the evenings which can drop the water temperature. Request for a heated pool must be made prior to your arrival, as it takes 24-48 hours to heat the pool, depending on outside temperatures. This home proudly meets Scottsdale Revised Code § 31-68, AG105 "Short-term Rental Pool Barrier Requirements" which went into effect May 2023, requiring all Scottsdale vacation homes to have a safety fence installed around the swimming pool.

OUTDOOR QUIET HOURS - NOISE RESTRICTIONS: This is not a party house or a careless investor owned airbnb, it’s a home well cared for by it's owners, in an established, quiet neighborhood. Please note, outdoor quiet hours for this neighborhood are from 9:00PM - 7:00AM. NO EXCEPTIONS. During this time voices must be kept at polite conversational levels and no amplified music. Scottsdale strictly enforces the City's noise ordinance. Failure to comply may result in fines, citations, and/or removal from the premises by City of Scottsdale Police Department. Thanks in advance for following this important house rule and City noise ordinance, and ensuring this home is not a nuisance in any way to our neighbors.

MONTHLY CLEANINGS REQUIRED FOR STAYS OVER 29 DAYS
Please note for guests staying over 29 days, we require 1x/month cleanings by our team to maintain the quality of our home. Cleanings are $250/cleaning, in addition to the standard check-out cleaning fee, and will be charged in a separate fee request.

GARAGE PARKING & EV CHARGING
There is a private attached garage you are welcome to use while you're here. There is a JuiceBox EV Charger and EV plug to charge your electric vehicle! TESLA OWNERS, please note you will need to bring your Telsa cable/charger to plug directly into the EV outlet, or have an adapter that is compatible with the JuiceBox charger. Please contact the host if you have any questions! There is also 2 spots available in the driveway and free street parking available in front and surrounding the home.

SMART HOME DEVICES
We use smart home technology throughout the property to improve your experience and ensure our vacation home does not become a nuisance in any way to the neighbors. Devices include Nest Thermostat (adjustable in range of 70-80 degrees), Arlo Video Doorbell (Front Exterior) and Security Camera (Garage and Backyard gates) and NoiseAware. NoiseAware is a privacy compliant noise monitor which immediately alerts the host if there is a violation of the noise policy.

GUEST ACCESS & CHECK IN/OUT TIMES
Guests will receive their welcome message and custom code a day prior to arrival. Check-in is after 4:00PM and check-out is before 10:00AM. Guests will access the property through the digital keypad at the front door. Each guest will receive a custom passcode for the duration of their stay that will time out automatically at 10:00AM on the day of departure. (If you are still in the home when the cleaners arrive at 10:00AM, you will be charged a fine.)

MAXIMUM 6 GUESTS: SHORT-TERM RENTAL OCCUPANCY CODE
Per the City of Scottsdale: “All Dwelling units, including Vacation Rentals and Short term rentals, shall have a maximum family size of 6 adults and their related dependent children.”
