Spacious home with hot tub &outdoor space near PSU

You will love this bright welcoming home with lots of room for fun. Located in Park Forest Village, our large (4 bed + 3 full bath) house has two floors of amenities and sleeping space with everything you need to enjoy your time away. We are close to PSU’s campus & Beaver Stadium, as well as a multitude of dining and shopping options. Guests also have access to a private gym and a backyard complete with a lighted outdoor dining and living space, fire pits, and a hot tub. *No parties please*

The space

When you stay with us you will have access to our entire home, which includes 2 floors of space and a backyard area. We will be staying elsewhere, so you will have the house entirely to yourself. Inside, our house has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, an office den (with space for an air mattress if desired), a sunroom, laundry room, gym, and 2 living rooms. Our fully fenced in backyard also provides nearly 1/2 acre of outdoor space to enjoy.

Upstairs, watch the big game in the living room on our 55 inch TV or amuse yourself with one of our many board games. Hungry? Enjoy a meal in our large open kitchen with counter seating and a pub style dining table. The dining table is usually set for 4, but we can add a leaf to accommodate up to 8 - just let us know! Our cozy sunroom off the kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch the sunrise, or curl up with a good book. You’ll also find 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs. Bedroom 1 includes a King size bed, a private full bathroom with a walk in shower, and a futon that folds out into a full size bed. Bedroom 2 includes a queen sized bed. Additionally, there is an office den with a large desk and two external monitors - an air mattress can be added to the office if desired for additional sleeping space. Steps away is a full bathroom with a shower, and the laundry room.

In our walk out basement, you will find two additional bedrooms, another full bathroom with a shower stall, and a second living room. The basement living room contains a 50 inch TV and a sectional couch with a pull out double bed. Bedroom 3 includes a queen bed and a twin sized folding/roll-away bed, as well as private access to the full bath. Bedroom 4 includes a queen sized bed and a standing desk. Finally, the basement includes a gym area with a treadmill, elliptical, bike machine, floor exercise space, and weight machine.

Outside you will find a fully fenced in spacious yard with an upper and lower deck and patio area perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The upper deck includes a 6 person patio dining set + umbrella, and comfortable patio seating surrounding a gas fire pit, while the lower deck includes a gas grill. The patio also includes a 6 person hot tub, Adirondack chairs, a charcoal grill, and a wood burning fire pit. Corn hole boards and bean bags are also available to use if desired.

Other things to note
FOR PARENTS/THOSE TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN: We are happy to accommodate children of all ages. However, we don’t have any kids yet, so we can’t promise our home is child proof. We want to make sure guests are aware of this so they can make an informed decision regarding booking our home. If you have any questions or concerns, or want to request something, we are happy to provide more information or chat - just message us! It’s important to us that you are comfortable during your stay.

Here are a few things about our home for parents to be aware of: 1) Our deck railings and stairs are comprised of horizontal beams and thus have gaps that may be large enough for a child to fit through accidentally (see the pictures of our patio for a visual). 2) Our basement stairs are a steep spiral staircase. We can provide a baby gate that can be used to block off the entrance to the basement stairs. 3) All beds in the house are adult-sized beds (I.e. queen, king, etc). However, we do have a pair of side rails that can be inserted under the mattress to make one of the beds more suitable for children to sleep in. 4) We do not have child locks on cabinet doors in the house, but we do have covers on all unused outlets. 5) We provide child-friendly utensils/dishes.

FOR GUESTS WITH ALLERGIES: Please note that 2 dogs live with us. While our property is cleaned thoroughly before guests arrive, we can’t guarantee that our home will be completely free of dog allergens. This is also not a nut free house. We know some people have severe allergies and may need to know about this when considering where to stay, so we wanted to be transparent about this in our listing. If you have any questions or concerns, we are happy to provide more information - just ask! It’s important to us that you are comfortable during your stay.

FOR EVERYONE: This listing is for our family home. Your hosts live here when it is not rented. This means if you break anything while you stay here, it will impact our lives. For example, if our kitchen sink or stove is broken during your stay, we won’t have a working kitchen until it is fixed. This is also why we do NOT allow any parties or indoor smoking. Guests who choose to disregard our house rules may be subject to additional fees. Please keep in mind that this is our home and try your best to be considerate of our space.
