If you're in the mood for a stroll, there is no better place than home! The charming New West neighbourhood of Queen’s Park is one of the city’s first suburban areas and is home to some of the oldest heritage houses in the province. Characterized by classic, single-family homes, this community is prominently composed of houses from the 1860s to 1920s with some homes having been added in the 1930s and 40s as well. Whether you’re an architecture enthusiast or a casual admirer, you’ll surely enjoy the heritage houses in Queen’s Park. Get out and explore the area!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire guest suite
Other things to note
This suite is situated in the basement, and thus will require taking 1 flight of stairs. However, the advantage of this is that it will be naturally cooler during hot weather. Additionally, the suite has a full heating system, including two radiators, two portable electric heaters, and one baseboard heater, which guarantees a warm environment in the winter season.
Our kitchen and eating area is situated above the basement suite and we do our best to stay quiet when we use them. However, we are occupied working parents with an active toddler, and our house is also over 80 years old, so you will hear us and some pitter patter from 7am to 7pm on the days that our son is home and awake (he goes to daycare 3 days a week). On the plus side, the house should be quiet after our son takes nap at noon, and goes to sleep at 7pm. However, if you’re someone who’s quite sensitive to sounds and you’d prefer silence, then this suite might not be a good choice for you.
We kindly ask that no pets be brought in as we have two outdoor cats and they can be quite territorial (especially Sugar the shorthair ginger). Though, we do reassure you that they are friendly to people (especially Honey the longhair tabby). Allergy sufferers have no need to worry as the cats are not allowed in the suite.
We cannot provide lodging for events or gatherings, so if you're planning to host a party, this suite is not the right choice for that. However, we can recommend an outdoor area in Queens Park (walking distance from the suite) that is great for small gatherings.
We kindly request that all guests remain mindful and respectful of the tranquil atmosphere in the area by not making loud noises.
We respectfully ask that no smoking or vaping of any kind take place anywhere on the property.
We kindly request that you restrict the consumption of alcoholic beverages to within the confines of your suite. Drinking alcohol in other areas of the property is not permitted.
Please don't bring unapproved visitor(s) to stay overnight. We have no indemnity covering unapproved guest(s), and should any be discovered they would be asked to leave immediately.
Please text us when you have a visitor(s) over for a short period, for the security of our guests and ourselves.
