Charming, well-appointed townhouse with great WFH space in the hip Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria has all you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway to the Nation's Capitol, Old Town, and Del Ray. Comfy mattresses, lovely outdoor space, fun decor. Dozens of restaurants and trendy shops steps away. Farmer's Market, Yoga studio, YMCA, playground, tennis and pickleball courts, dog park. 20 min walk to Metro, 15-20 min. drive to D.C., 10 min. drive to MGM Casino at Nat. Harbor, Amazon HQ2, and VTech.
The space
Two bedrooms: one queen with adjustable base so you can raise or lower the head and foot, set to zero gravity, etc.), and one twin, a leather couch that converts. Twin room also doubles as home office with standing desk, large PC monitor (bring your cables) and Air Printer. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, bamboo sheets, and throw blankets. Upstairs full bath recently renovated with freshly glazed tub for soaking and lights that dim. Fully equipped open-floor plan gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, good knives and cookware. Newly re-decorated living space. Mid-century modern style. Leather recliner. Beautifully landscaped, fenced back yard with fire pit, eclectic outdoor furniture, and lovely deck lighting.
Street parking is always available either right in front or within a few spaces.
Self check-in with door code. I can always be reached by message or phone.
Walk to local Del Ray Farmer's Market, several coffee shops, sushi, pizza, Italian, French, etc. Amazing cheese shop/restaurant and local butcher. Also only a few blocks away is a Capital Bikeshare bike rental, as well as a co-op bike shop. Walk to Aldi, CVS, YMCA, bike/walking trail that goes all the way to Mt. Vernon Estate in one direction and Washington, DC and beyong in the other. Miles of trails. Great dog park only 2 blocks away. Close to Historic Old Town (1.5 miles) with its many boutique shops and restaurants, and an amazing Farmer's Market dating back to George Washington's day. Sailing, paddleboarding, and kayaking opportunities on the Potomac.
The Del Ray Delight offers the convenience of being close to the city in a hip neighborhood with a nice escape in the evenings. There is a noise machine perfect for sleeping children, and an aromatherapy diffuser with many oils to use in queen bedroom. Fill with water and a few drops of oil.
Milk frother in cabinet above coffee maker. Teas, including English breakfast tea.
(No washer/dryer).

$25 pet fee per dog per night billed separately. Please let me know breed of dog. No dogs on furniture or beds.
