We have everything that you need for a comfy crash pad in Sydney. It will be the perfect option for someone who is in town for work or maybe to visit friends and family. Somewhere cozy to bring a takeaway after a busy day and chill out watching Netflix or get a good sleep. Our home is close to the airport with fantastic access to trains, buses and wonderful cafes and restaurants.
Our listing will best suit guests who want to be able to check in and out and use our home quite self sufficiently.
The space
The bedroom is medium sized and cozy with high ceilings, and is furnished with a comfy bed and linen sheets.
There is a desk with a Asus monitor that you can plug your laptop into if you need to do some work. Or you use the AppleTV connected to the screen to watch Netflix, Binge, Stan, Prime or any of the streaming platforms associated to my account. We have a pair of Bluetooth headphones for you to use if you don't have your own.
The windows are double glazed for sound proofing and there are linen block out curtains to keep the room dark.
There's a panel heater/portable air conditioner to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and an electric blanket to keep you warm in the winter.
The room runs with smart devices to make it easy to control light and heating/cooling.
The room is furnished with a chest of drawers and a clothes rack for any clothes you want to access easily during your stay.
With this listing, you have access to the kitchen and dining room but only to make hot drinks, a basic breakfast (cereal/toast) or to heat pre-made food in the microwave or leftover takeaway. You may also use the basic appliances: jug, toaster and microwave. All the plates, bowls, cutlery and glassware you need are available. There is a small space to store food in the fridge.
There is a dining room full of books to relax in when you eat your meals. The bathroom is well stocked with natural body wash, shampoo and conditioner and the shower is super strong!
The garden is a leafy place to relax in the summer with loungers and an outdoor table.
Guest access
Your entry is via the gate into our back courtyard and the kitchen door. The front door and front part of the house is for us and is not available to guests.
As well as your room you will be able to access all the areas at the back of the house: kitchen, dining, bathroom/laundry and garden.
There is some limited space for you in the fridge to store cold food (enough for a meal) but no freezer access.
There is only one bathroom in the house and it is shared so this listing isn't for people who need to spend long periods of time grooming in the bathroom.
During your stay
This listing may not be the best option if you need a lot of company or assistance during your stay. We have tried to make it very clear and easy to find your way around our home and to understand what is and isn’t available for you to use outside of your room.
When we are in the back of the house we love to have a chat with guests and are available to answer any questions via the AirBNB app between 8am - 10pm.
Please note: all our communication is in person or via the AirBNB app - our mobile numbers are for emergencies calls only.
Other things to note
Check in is after 3pm - it is not possible to check in before then.
You are welcome to leave luggage at the back of the house after 11am. This area is protected by a security camera and a locked back gate. There is some cover from rain but it is really best for waterproof cases.
The access to the room means it is not ideal for people with large heavy luggage. The house has steps that will prevent you from rolling your bags. There is also no storage space in the room or additional storage in the house for you.
Most of our communication will be written via the app so if you are not confident using the AirBNB app, this may not be a good option for you. You also need to book on your own account, we won't accept bookings from guests who are using a partner's account.
Our cat Khaleesi is always around so this will not be a great place for you if you are scared of animals.
