In a quiet, tree-lined Victorian street, near cafes, pubs &local shops, a good-sized room; sleeping one, or a parent and a child between 6 and 14 years old. The adjoining bathroom is mainly for your private use. A kitchen available for your near-exclusive use. Access to a sunny living room. Friendly hosts always happy to offer advice - or leave you in privacy.
The space
A quiet, spacious room with a window overlooking our garden on the first floor flat of a semi-detached Victorian house (sorry, no lift).
Bed can be made as a single or as a double. Small desk. Yoga mat. Hair drier.

A modern bathroom with new shower, bath, huge mirror, basin and WC.
A compact kitchen (kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, microwave oven/grill, gas stove, washer drier iron). You can prepare your breakfasts and dinners (light cooking only, please). Tea, coffee and other staples provided.
The sunny living room is yours in the mornings and evenings. It may be yours to use daytime as well - please let us know in advance.
A 27-inch monitor with built-in audio at your disposal in the living room. Connect your device with an HDMI cable and participate in virtual meetings or classes, watch/replay films & pictures, or log into your streaming service.
Or use our wifi - reliable cable broadband (300mb/s) and good WiFi coverage - access (mesh) points in bedroom and living room; please note there is no TV available in the apartment.
Guest access
You will have the whole flat to yourself, overnight.
In addition to your own room with a comfortable bed, you have near-exclusive use of the bathroom/WC. Kitchen and living room to be shared daytime Monday to Friday, exclusive use from the evening till breakfast time.
During the day, Monday to Friday, Chris is using the other room in the flat as his study. The walls between the rooms are thick, so it's quiet.
Its an old house converted into flats, so you may hear neighbours from the one onether flat coming and going to the upper floor flat. We live in the ground floor flat so we are close, but living separately, if you need any help.
Other things to note
- We provide discounts for longer stays, starting with 5 nights. The longer you stay, the better the rate.
- Renata speaks German, French, Czech, Polish and Slovak, so do write to us in any of these languages, if it's more convenient.
